Kenneth "Kenny" Miller

Kenny's Military and Law Enforcement public service career span over forty-five years of active service. Kenny is currently an adjunct Professor at Virginia State University, a contributor to WPCE Radio and a national speaker on the subject of community Policing.

In May of 2022, Kenny has been appointed to the Commission to Combat Antisemitism by Governor of Virginia Glenn Youngkin.
Kenny is currently serving as the interim City Manager for the city of Petersburg, Virginia. He has served as Deputy City Manager of Public Safety for the city of Petersburg, Virginia and is a Retired Chief of Police for the Petersburg Bureau of Police. Kenny recently served as Interim Chief of Police for the town of Colonial Beach, Virginia
Previously, Kenny served as Captain assigned to Operations Division with the City of Virginia Beach Police Department and also has operated as a Sergeant SWAT Team Leader, Police Academy Supervisor, Police Academy Assistant Coordinator, Detective, Field Training Officer, Uniformed Patrol Officer and a member of the Virginia Beach Sheriff's Department attaining the supervisory rank of Sergeant.
Kenny has served as an Inspector and Use of Force Training Specialist to the Victoria Police Department in Melbourne, Australia. Firearms, Use of Force and SWAT Tactics to the Taiwan National Police SWAT Team. Consultant and Trainer to the Government of Saudi Arabia for The Spear Academy.
Kenny received his Master's Degree from Troy State University in Public Administration and a Bachelors of Arts Degree (BA) in Criminal Justice from St. Leo University.
Kenny has completed The FBI National Academy Session 264, FBI LEEDS Session 78, Professional Executive Leadership School at The University of Richmond, VA (PELS 35th session), and the Virginia State University Security Seminar 2020.
Kenny also is a certified USA Amateur Boxing Coach, a Licensed Professional Boxing Coach and is licensed to judge professional boxing bouts.
